Role Description<\/strong><\/h2>

The Scholarship Academy (TSA) is a nonprofit organization, based in the Atlanta metropolitan area, that helps low-income students secure resources to pursue higher education opportunities with the least amount of debt.<\/p><\/div>

This is a part-time role for a College Access Student Case Manager based on-site at TSA\u2019s Atlanta office, with the opportunity for occasional remote work once you\u2019re fully up to speed. You will fuel TSA\u2019s mission by working directly with students to create individualized college funding plans, providing case management support, and connecting them with scholarships, financial aid resources, and relevant college access opportunities.<\/div>

The position is perfect for a detail-oriented, student-focused professional who enjoys one-on-one advising and has hands-on knowledge of college access programming and financial aid processes.<\/div>

Compensation<\/h3>

This position is a 10-month (September 2025 – July 2026) AmeriCorps service program opportunity. AmeriCorps is a federal agency for national service and volunteerism. Members serve their country by addressing critical challenges and supporting community-focused initiatives. This is a part-time opportunity and you will receive a living allowance of $1,800 per month.<\/p>

– Interest in working with high school students and community organizations<\/p>

– Must be a US citizen, US national or lawful permanent resident<\/p>

– Ability to clear state and federal background check and fingerprint screening<\/p>

– Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to navigate in and around greater Atlanta<\/p>

Specific Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2>

Student Case Management \u2013 \u2248 40%\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

  • Manage a caseload of 10\u201320 high school students.<\/div><\/li>
  • Develop individualized 4-year college funding plans in alignment with student goals and family financial situations.<\/div><\/li>
  • Track student progress toward FAFSA completion, scholarship submissions, and admissions milestones.<\/div><\/li>
  • Conduct one-on-one office hours to provide guidance and accountability.

    • Review application essays and provide constructive feedback.<\/div><\/li>
    • Facilitate workshops on FAFSA completion, scholarship research, and award letter comparisons.<\/div><\/li><\/ul>

      Data Tracking & Reporting \u2013 \u2248 15%<\/b><\/div>
      • Maintain accurate case notes and logs via TSA\u2019s\u00a0Virtual Scholarship Center.<\/div><\/li>
      • Track scholarship applications, FAFSA submissions, and award outcomes for reporting purposes.<\/div><\/li>
      • Support grant reporting requirements by providing timely and accurate data.<\/div><\/li><\/ul>

        Family & School Partner Engagement \u2013 \u2248 10%<\/b><\/div>
        • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school partners to support student goals.<\/div><\/li>
        • Attend partner events, college fairs, and financial aid workshops as needed.<\/div><\/li>

            • Have 2+ years of experience in academic advising, youth development, or nonprofit program coordination\u2014ideally within college access or financial aid spaces.<\/div><\/li>
            • Are passionate about helping students succeed and comfortable working one-on-one with diverse student populations.<\/div><\/li>
            • Have strong organizational skills and thrive when managing multiple student timelines and priorities.<\/div><\/li>
            • Are a clear communicator who can explain complex financial aid concepts in a way that students and parents understand.<\/div><\/li>
            • Are tech-savvy and comfortable using Microsoft systems, virtual meeting tools, and collaborative platforms.<\/div><\/li>
